Talk about my story with prints is complicated... I came from a comercial industry - fast fashion mainly. This thing of having my own "creatures" is new, I could say. It was always there, but slowly it is coming out in references, ideas, colors and icons that I feel some connection. What I really want is to make people think about their situations. As Nina Simone once said, an artist has a duty to reflect about his own time. You can´t avoid it. My universe of creation is influenced by cinema, comics, music, alternative life, horror, vintage and retro styles (70s, 60s, 80s) and lately my Brazilian/Latin heritage. Other element I love to bring to prints is sexuality. As an homosexual, in my work I have a need to talk about it. You will see a lot of it. It´s a pitty that it´s still seen as a tabu in our "modern" society. My tools of creation are mainly related to image manipulation and all sort of digital effects. The process has to be fast and quite instintive. I would love to know what you think about them. Enjoy!
