William Jackson Garrett Paintings

William Jackson Garrett grew up in Southern California and currently resides in beautiful Ashland, Oregon, where he gets inspiration for many of his landscape paintings. As a primarily self-taught artist, William's style has developed over many years, evolving since his early 20s. He had two years of formal training in oils and now mostly prefers to work with acrylic paints. His early inspiration came from viewing works by Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and French impressionist artists. He strives to achieve vibrations in his pieces, to capture the light, feeling and essence of the places.
