I am a visual artist working in several genres. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I decided to give myself permission to artistically explore funny, whimsical, and pleasant subjects, which to me meant animals and plants. I did a series of large acrylic paintings, then used the images to make a playing card deck. It was so therapeutic in that dark time that I went on to do a second series and produce a second deck.
