UrbanKust

Hey! I’m Marcus Kust, the human behind the UrbanKust (a.k.a. KustDesign). Kust is my middle name, which means “coast” in Dutch. UrbanKust is about bringing beach vibes and warmth of the ocean to our everyday life. My life was turned upside down when I was in my early teens, with many changes and unpredictability. I was fortunate to live near the ocean, where I felt safe and hopeful. Standing on the pier near our home and resting my eyes on the horizon was something I truly enjoyed doing. I remember the warm and pleasant feeling running through my body as I stood there imagining the wonderful things that maybe be awaiting for me over the horizon. I cherish those moments when I learned more about myself and became more curious and hopeful about the future. I want to recapture the fun curiosity, and hopes that I had and share them with others through the things that people can enjoy. And I hope that the designs inspired by my memories can bring the warmth of the ocean into their everyday lives.
