Artist I am a self taught artist born in the busy city of Toronto. I began drawing patterns around twelve years old, I had found it a relaxing outlet for my ideas, like a journal but visual. I was excited to have sold my first piece of art at age sixteen. My art is created by applying a technique consisting of patterning, using contrast, black ink on a white surface, multi colours, repeating lines, shapes, forms and symmetry. There is a rhythm that begins to flow from me to the piece. Each pen stroke is a contribution to each pattern; they are interrelated which builds the intensity of the finished piece. It required a dedication in the art of patience. Not only because of the time required to create but also because my art is always a surprise in the end. For me, my pieces are beautifully harmonious, rhythmic and satisfying to view.
