Welcome to Turtle Girl Creates! I'm Christine...a retired travel industry veteran, DIY-er, creator and cancer survivor. I've taken pictures of nature and the "art" I've seen in it my whole life. I hope you'll enjoy travels reflected through my photos and the gifts I've created that are inspired by them. You know that poem, ‘What Cancer Cannot Do’ (Author Unknown)? It has a number of variations depending on who is sharing. I found a hand created card at a craft show and it touched my heart. At the time I bought a couple because I knew several people- family, friends and clients- who had fought the battle with cancer and some who lost. A few years later, with my diagnosis of tongue cancer, I went in search of the card I tucked in a drawer. I framed it and it hangs on my wall. I’m now a 3x cancer warrior….and also an adventurer, an explorer, a lover of new experiences. My husband and I love to take road trips, cruises and adventures. We’ve had some amazing experiences and brought back memories more precious than souvenirs. So, I have a new line to my poem…CANCER CANNOT TAKE MY PASSPORT! Look for our Cancer Cannot Take My Passport collection coming soon! Where did our name come from? I was a "turtle" mom to a cute little box turtle for 27 years. Now, I'm forever the Turtle Girl!
