Welcome to The Shady Palm Tree where you shop with purpose on purpose! Our motto, Shop with Purpose on Purpose, defines the sole reason for this online retail store, which was created with charitable intention. Founded by Theresa Swaim, The Shady Palm Tree has come a long way from its humble beginnings in Denver, CO. In 2018 Theresa Swaim was diagnosed with YOPD (Young Onset Parkinson's Disease) and eventually found herself unable to continue working a mainstream fulltime job. But, Ms. Swaim still needed to pay the bills. Ms. Swaim decided to work from home and on more convenient terms that would accommodate her struggle with Parkinson's Disease. This struggle drove Swaim, a.k.a., Tree, to start her own business. The Shady Palm Tree online boutique offers a diverse selection of affordable and trending women's apparel; and, unique and original designs and competitive prices on a variety of beautiful and trending products, with the Parkinson's patient in mind.
