SpunkyJunk

Hi and thanks for stopping by! I have a bent towards creating happy art, but I've also been told that some of my characters have definite "attitude." I've been described as "spunky" before, and I like creating lots of stuff (and collecting lots of stuff), hence the name "SpunkyJunk." My initial interest was in children's book illustration. Even though I've since broadened my interests, much of my work still seems to retain some of that flavor. I love drawing and creating characters and worlds that are cheerful or empowered ... and I love entertaining others. I really get a kick out of making someone laugh or bringing a smile to someone's face. This is not to say that all of my artwork is always sugar-coated (nor am I), and you might see some darker or edgier pieces occasionally.
