Skid Kids is based on a novel of the same name. All of the products, images, and characters are based on elements from the novel. Here is a short synopsis of the novel: When Zander was seventeen, he had to make a choice, try out for the Skid Mark League and leave his fourteen-year-old sister Kensy behind, or take her along as his teammate. For a mutant, the only path to freedom is to win it. Or is it? It's the year 2784, and it's been five years since Zander and Kensy's mother died from the cleanse. Outmatched and armed only with her teachings, they find that the real battle is not against other mutants of the Wastelands, but the entire power structure of the government. If they risk everything, they’ll not only save themselves, they'll save everyone.
