Simon Relf was born in a bus shelter on a dark stormy night in 1978, and while spending his first three years hunting rodents so he didn't starve to death, he found he had an amazing talent for drawing cartoons... ...that was all a lie actually, apart from being born in 1978. I've always drawn since I can remember. While other kids my age were being rushed to hospital because they'd got felt tip pens lodged up their noses or in their ears, I was drawing dinosaurs. I spent my childhood and teenage years either watching cartoons, reading comics or drawing. In my early twenties I lied and cheated my way into the greeting card world, began selling prints online and even got myself a job illustrating children's books, of which two are now published and a third is on the way next year.
