My fondest memories are linked to a small 2-bedroom apartment with old furniture, a questionable heating system, and checkered floor tile, which, believe me, was as ugly as it sounds. From the moment I stepped through the threshold, it became my favorite place on earth - my first rented apartment. Two roommates, a tiny space, and a lot of creativity later, we managed to cover the holes in the walls with stickers, bought the cutest kitchen supplies, and beautified the walls with art that made us smile every morning.
