Quarantine_Girls

I am a professional hairstylist of 20+ years and unfortunately my place of business has been shutdown temporarily due to Covid-19 Coronavirus CA Shelter in place ordinance since March 16, 2020. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Art in Fashion Illustration from the Academy of Art university in San Francisco. I have a mad passion with hair whether I’m cutting, coloring, styling or drawing it. During this pandemic I’ve created a series of drawings called the Quarantine Girls. Each drawing is a parody of a woman during the Covid-19 pandemic sporting what is known today as our new normal, a face mask in various situations. My background as an illustrator and hairstylists combined with the frustration of being homebound and unable to work as a hairstylist, the Quarantine Girls were born. This is my way of creating hair 2 dimensionally with a bit of humor during this crucial time in history.
