Photography is what I use to focus on alternative thoughts to the stuff in life that appears to be too big to overcome. Faith, love, and trust in God comes first and how I choose to see the world around me comes second. The second is only possible because of the first. Only recently, I have returned to photography and art, after a few years of extreme physical difficulty in which I later came to learn was due to having Parkinson's. Combined with type 2 Diabetes complications made it a delicate balancing act just to perform the most basic daily functions. However, how I think and what I focus on is so critically important on the most basic functions that it is from right there photography and art presented themselves to me as tools to practice my faith, love and trust in God -- and use them as therapy and work. I want to thank Larina and Brian most of all for their positive encouragement when I fumbled to get restarted. They never realized how much they helped; but to me it was over and beyond heroic and incredibly patient and wonderfully nurturing inn what I was needing to do. God bless you both!! My motto in regards to art......it's not about perfection, in as much as it is about the process of thoughts turning away from meaness of people and life and turning to the goodness, grace, and beauty that is also always present.
