Cotton is generally more pleasant for those with sensitive skin. It is recommended that you spot clean this material, as it may shrink when washed. Colors may not be as vibrant on cotton. Polyester is a plastic-based material. It lasts longer, is generally cheaper, machine washes without much shrinkage, and keeps its color longer. Pride themed striped pillows currently have the same design on both sides and are presented in polyester for more vibrant colors.
