I have always had a lot of compassion for animals. Once I got involved in research on wildlife conservation, and since I saw a grizzly mom with a cub in Waterton Park - patient, calm, magnificent as Nature itself - I have grown a lot of respect and admiration for so called "large carnivores". Apart from their size and the food they eat (that's what this scientific term is based on), they are also beautiful, sentient beings. They have the right to live. Coexistence with bears and mountain lions is possible. As a wildlife artists, I specialize in portraying big cats (leopards, lions, cheetahs). Every small and big cat is like a piece of art!
