Morning Dew Digital Designs

Hello, I am a 35 year old lady living on the family farm. I was born with the birth defect Spina Bifida and therefore travel through my life in a wheelchair. Don't worry though, my motto is "I only run over my friends and family." Being in a wheelchair gives me unique perspectives in my digital photography and also allows me the ability to delve deeper into my love of digital art. I was introduced to digital art about 7 years ago and have no formal training in the subject. A few friends were trying their hands at the digital realm, and because I'd always loved art, I gave it a go as well. Boy did the computer open up a whole new world for me. No longer did I have to just accept that my lines would not be perfectly straight or my circles perfectly round due to hands that just wouldn't draw the way my mind saw the image. No more holes in papers due to my need to get it just right. Now I was able to just undo and redo to my hearts content. I was thinking a few months ago about lost or misguided opportunities. I'd been thinking about how besides my love of art throughout my entire life, I've always had a strong love for children and teaching them about the world around them. When I was in high school I really wanted to teach Spanish to high school level age kids. Then after graduating from high school I had the opportunity of a lifetime to volunteer in a preschool class a few hours each morning. This introduced me to working with 3, 4, and 5 year olds and I realized this was my niche in life. To teach innocent children about their world. Now 10 years later, I have not gone into teaching children in a classroom, but am now teaching children and adults alike through my art. I hope my art inspires us all to keep some innocence and wonderment of a child in our lives and for the children out there I hope my art helps you to learn that their is a whole world out there for you to learn and enjoy not only in your trials and tribulations of growing up, but also in your imaginations. So in summary what I had thought of as a missed opportunity in not teaching in a traditional classroom has turned into a new opportunity to teach many more through my love of art.
