Monica Lerner is my mom. I created this store for her, and for all of you to enjoy her art. My mom always knew exactly what she wanted to do, and never let anything stop her. She graduated from Art school and started her journey right away seeking what was exactly that she was most passionate about. For most of her artistic career, she was a sculptor. THAT was her passion. And she didnt stop there. Always searching for a new techinique, always trying to be different, to create her own language through her work. She was not scared to experiment with different materials and some self created inventions (some of wich may or may not include using a small torch to burn and shape pieces , but dont worry, we're all fine lol). Even though she was very productive during many many years, this was not her way to make a living. She worked up to three shifts a day as an art teacher to support us. And she did so for 30 plus years until her retirement. Right around that time, I started to realize her hands where aching. She wasnt sculpting as much anymore, just as much as the pain would let her. Arthritis was taking over. So one christmas I decided to get her a digital tablet as a present, in the hope that she would be excited about something new, and would take on a different and more suitable challenge to continue expressing her art. And she did not dissapoint. She looked at it like a kid would, and started experimenting with drawing and digital art right away. In this store you will find some of her latest creations (most of wich where done during the Corona pandemic, and are inspired on the subject). Wether you make a purchase or not is sincerely not the point of this small gallery I've created for her to share with the world. She'll be thrilled with every single visit she gets, and let me asure you: I'll let her know that you've stopped by :)
