KC the Corgi is raising awareness to help #ShadeOutDM . Degenerative Myelopathy is the Canine version of ALS. Too many pups are forced to take this journey when it CAN be prevented with Testing & Careful Breeding! Most times it's often misdiagnosed as many vets don't know about DM yet either and pups are having to undergo unnecessary surgeries only to find out when surgery is unsuccessful that it's DM after all... This disease can be prevented if people that are thinking of breeding would Test for DM (& other important diseases too) to make sure that the pup they are breeding is not carrying the DM gene! So since KC fought the brave fight thru her DM journey, it is now our mission to Spread the word about DM and we do our best to help other pups get wheels & other tools they need to help them cope and live as much of a happy life as they can while they take this DM journey too!
