Among the reasons why I have this store is because of #surprisemedicaldebt. The most simple cause of this is you find yourself on a bright Saturday afternoon being carried down the stairs by an ambulance crew. The next 24 days was spent in 2 hospitals (with a helicopter ride in the middle) and in the end having to pay that 300k #surprisemedicaldebt. #MedicalDebt is a $1T dollar business and according to most sources 20% of that medical debt is of the surprise medical type. My #MedicalDebt contributes .05% of the total. I have tried to get governmental assistance (National, State, County) as well as several fundraisers. But, with little success (in terms of the whole) I have come to the conclusion that I must do find other avenues. #RIPMedicalDebt, but this is not an individual assistance it is a community one.
