Hello, Welcome to Gulet. Gulet (ጉልት) is the Amharic name for an open-air market where a person displays small goods on a simple mat on a ground outdoor and sell. Gulet is the way my mother supported our family for the longest time I remember of my childhood. Right before I enter high school, my mother's business grew, and she owned a shop where all her merchandises stored in a small room with a window. My mother retired from a full-time shop business. She is not formally educated yet brilliant and has a unique business mind. She is also very sociable. She would have been a social media queen had she been sent to school as a girl and know how to use a computer. So, in honor of her hard work, I partner with her to open this online store that will be an expression of life, culture, and identity of mainly Ethiopians and Africans.
