Goblin Circus - Liberty Drawings

The Goblin Circus halloween display in 2016 featured a liberty statue in the background of a homage to 1970's science fiction horror. The foreground was crammed with carnivorous plants and a crashing spaceship. What started as a simple Planet of the Apes trope, became a powerful image for me in the weeks after Halloween. As the world swerved close to a state where such movies suddenly seemed plausible, I focused on the Statue of Liberty as a figure of hope and resistance. Posting these images here so that others can spread her around.
