Energy Shift: Currently, I've launched a fundraiser and created multiple artworks to offer support and honor those affected by the Lewiston, Maine mass shootings on October 25, 2023. Additionally, I'm in the process of establishing a Foundation advocating for a National Memorial in Washington DC for Mass Shooting Victims and a National Survivors Trust Fund for their immediate family members. This initiative aims to formally recognize and provide support to families impacted by the hundreds of Mass Shooting events across the nation every year. Like many local Maine artists, I've been using the light blue color, emblematic of the Lewiston community, and integrating a light blue heart into my artwork. This inspired the term 'Blue Heart Families' to come to me. I find the phrase beautiful! And I propose this phrase be used as the national designation for the collective group of families affected by the epidemic of Mass Shooting events. It represents our support, acknowledges the lasting impact of these tragic events, and most importantly, symbolizes love. Did you know that since 1982, over a 1000 individuals have tragically lost their lives in mass shooting incidents, according to statistics compiled by Mother Jones magazine. It's time to advocate for a place to honor and reflect on the lives lost to these senseless acts. Let's join forces in calling for a National Memorial in Washington DC.
