Libby's Closet

I like to say that I'm both gritty and graceful...but I think that's true of most women! I'm lucky enough to have an amazing husband whom I love and adore. Together, we have created the most wonderful and fascinating human being on the planet (my darling daughter). Unfortunately, my daughter and I share the same rare systemic mast cell disease, and most of our life-sustaining medications are not covered by medical insurance. I am currently a full-time student; although the unpredictability, hospital stays, and symptoms that come with the mast cell disease definitely make keeping up with school and work a major challenge. My husband and I both work full-time. However, our out-of-pocket medical costs each month are more than $3750. Libby's Closet was born in an effort to try and ensure that my daughter and I can purchase the medications we need, while still being able to put enough food on the table. Life is far from easy but I still believe that every day is a gift to be treasured. I'll never quit fighting.
