I am a second generation Foster Care Alumni (My mother and I grew up in Foster Care) and a first generation college graduate. During the day I work in politics and government where I utilize my life experience and travels to influence policy. At night I write in my cabin on a wooded wildlife preserve in Western Maryland. My hope is to send a little light into the world and to inspire folks to follow their joy, to persevere, to connect, and to never give up. I truly believe that this life is a gift from God and it is finite. Never give up. Never surrender. Live a beautiful life! Poetry and art can help us to cherish the small things.
