Dandy_Lion_Dreams

It all started with a flamingo and my handsome a yellow lab, Dandy Lion. I'm originally from Baltimore, where flamingos are A Thing - from John Waters' movie to lawn ornaments. And after years of "dabbling" in various arts and crafts - from crochet to photography - I decided on a whim to try my hand at painting a flamingo and taught myself to draw and paint. And as I gave my friends my handmade creations as gifts, they kept asking when I would set up shop. And then one evening, I looked up from my latest art project and watched Dandy Lion as he lay sleeping and dreaming in front of the fireplace. A peaceful moment, caught on camera and posted online. It wasn't until a dear friend pointed out that it really was the perfect photo - lighting, subject, composition. "This is ART," she said. And so, Dandy Lion Dreams was born.
