À propos
In May of 2017, I survived a near-fatal pedestrian-vehicular accident. I sustained a traumatic brain injury and other chronic conditions. Art is my language of resilience and transformation. As a multidisciplinary artist, brain injury survivor, and disability advocate, I create to amplify underrepresented voices and explore identity, healing, community, and sustainability. My African mask–inspired mirror paintings invite reflection—viewers literally see themselves within the work—while my digital art expands these themes into new, accessible spaces. The use of reclaimed materials underscores reclamation and environmental consciousness, reinforcing my commitment to sustainability. Blending visual art, digital media, writing, and community engagement, I seek to challenge perceptions and spark dialogue. Rooted in advocacy, my practice bridges personal narrative and collective awareness, inspiring others to embrace resilience and reimagine inclusivity, accessibility, and the transformative power of creativity.
