I am a self-taught artist from Houston, Texas who has been painting since 1998. From that time forward, I have exhibited my work in galleries and venues throughout the state of Texas. And, despite my staying so close to home, a great number of my paintings have ended up calling various walls around the world "home." A few years back, I stepped away from the "art scene" to become a wife and mother; and, though those duties have occupied me quite a bit, I have recently found my way back into life as an artist. I may not be able to devote my whole day to a project as I did in the past. In fact, there are days and weeks that pass where I am not even able to pick up my paintbrush at all. But, I always return...eventually. Sometimes with brownies baking in the oven or dinner on the stove...but, I do find a way to return. And, in these many years, even when it has been in the background, my easel remains - a constant fixture; just like my desire to create.
