Blooms and Bones began as a dream sketched on a napkin in a cozy café. Founded by S K Dash, an artist captivated by the beauty of life and the intrigue of mortality, the store emerged from a passion for these themes. My journey started in my grandmother’s garden, where vibrant flowers bloomed among ancient stones. As a child, I would draw for hours, inspired by the delicate balance of life and death. These early experiences fueled my fascination with beauty and decay. Without formal art education, I honed my talent through practice. The pandemic became a turning point, giving me time to reflect and create. Graphic design became my sanctuary, expressing complex emotions. A conversation with my best friend, David, sparked the idea of Blooms and Bones. Over coffee, he suggested I create art that embodied my vision and share it with the world. With his encouragement, I transformed my apartment into a studio, filled with canvases and digital tools, drawing inspiration from childhood memories and ancient stories. Blooms and Bones launched as an online store, offering prints, posters, T-shirts, and hoodies. People were drawn to the blend of floral elegance and skeletal intrigue, finding beauty in life's fleeting moments and the mystery beyond. Today, Blooms and Bones is more than a store; it’s a community of like-minded individuals who embrace life in all its forms.
