Bill Yarrow is a Chicago-based digital artist who works with public-domain materials (paintings, photographs, film stills…), assembling discrete pieces into artistic wholes. Bill is interested in seeing how the past can be reconfigured to be contemporary, reassembled for surprise. “A collage made of old things can be a beautiful new thing.” "My process is design through assemblage. I isolate and reconfigure graphic 'pieces of the past' to create novel works of art. I work in the medium of digital images but bring to the digital world a unique human imagination. I hope the results will kindle an unexpected delight and spark a fresh perception in the viewer. My desire is to engage the spectator and bring mystery, wonder, and surprise into their lives."
