Bamalam Art brings you our combined creativity: art, photography and design to suit many tastes. You will find a variety of images in our store, from flower and textured photography to abstract digital artwork, colourful poster art and studies of British birds and nature. Photography and design have always been a joy to me, from the first instance of pattern and colour catching my eye, to capturing the image and then tinkering in Photoshop - and I do like to tinker. I am lost without a camera or graphics pen in my hand. My mother, Jean, is an avid gardener.. Always the artist, never happier than when holding a palette knife in hand, setting swathes of oil to canvas to create sweeping hills and stooping woodlands. But Arthritis of the hands and back forced her to stop. She could no longer stand at an easel or hold a brush or palette knife; so, for her, Photoshop has been a wonder, allowing her to once again create art and rekindle the artistic passion that her arthritis prevented her from pursuing for many years. Manipulating coloured pixels is simply another medium - no less an art form than watercolour, oil or acrylic. Everything that requires a creative eye is art - whether capturing reflections on water with a camera, placing fine strokes of oil to canvas, or setting pixels to a digital page. There is an artist in all of us.
