I've loved photography all my life, but it was just about three years ago that I got my first DSLR camera and found that I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of photographing the birds in my backyard. That was somewhat of a catalyst - from there it went to flowers and, of course, the beach. I have also found that I enjoy every single season now because there is always beauty to capture (that was not always the case).
