Aussieshirts

In January 2014, two major Australian retailers, ALDI and BigW, were scheduled to sell a range of patriotic Australian t-shirts, including one bearing the words "Australia, Est. 1788" on them. A politically correct mob quickly formed on social media to denounce this as 'racist'. Instead of laughing it off, thanking the professional whingers for the free publicity, and pressing on, these retailers fell over themselves to apologise for any "offence" and withdrew the t-shirts from sale. We disagree. The t-shirt is manifestly not racist. We are all proudly Australian, regardless of our cultural origins. We are proud to sell this shirt and will not bow to politically correct pressure.
