The Aqueous line was created for ocean lovers like you! Aqueous is simple, honest, and always in search of the endless summer. We hope you enjoy our creations and share your favorites with your family and friends. Malama pono (live well). * * * Inspired by her roots in Hawaii and life in Southern California. Designer, Shelsea, was born and raised on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. She always had a passion for fashion and the ocean. She started surfing after high school and this opened her eyes to new experiences. It also took some time away from attending classes at Honolulu Community College, but she still graduated with her Associates degree in 2003. Later, she moved to Los Angeles, CA to earn her Bachelor's degree from The Art Institute of California. After about five years in the fashion industry, she returned home to design for a local swimwear company that paid her $10 an hour. Fed up, she wanted a different avenue to express her creativity and came across Zazzle.com. She tired of designing swimwear and also started a small business known as Island Doggie, sewing stylish dog accessories (Instagram @islanddoggie). A creative mind never rests.
