I was an awkward child, often found swaying in the corner of the classroom, rarely speaking and lacking friends. However, what I lacked socially, I made up for with my passion for art. It was a rare sight to see me without a pencil in hand, constantly doodling. When I wasn't drawing, I was engrossed in YouTube tutorials or reading books about art. I even went so far as to doodle all over my wooden bedroom door with a marker pen! I was nervous about my mum's reaction, but instead, she took photos and proudly shared them on Facebook, celebrating my creativity. That moment solidified my future: creating art and sharing it with the world. After taking a break from drawing during my late teenage years to fit in and appear more 'normal,' I received an autism diagnosis at 19. This pivotal moment encouraged me to express myself through art once more. Art had always been my special interest, and I realized I shouldn't have to hide it to fit in. I began to embrace my creativity fully, and that's when The Alternative Artistry was born, allowing me to share my vibrant digital art with others and connect with those who appreciate my unique style.
