This design features the national flag of Tunisia (officially known as the Republic of Tunisia), which is the northernmost country in Africa. The country is a part of the Maghreb region of North Africa. Tunisia is bordered by Algeria to the west and southwest, Libya to the southeast and the Mediterranean Sea to the north and east. The country contains the eastern region of the Atlas Mountains and the northern tip of the Sahara desert. The capital city of Tunisia is Tunis, which is located on the northeastern coast, and the country is also home to Africa's northernmost point, Cape Angela.
