World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought. 17 June is set aside for awareness and action to reverse land degradation processes in an form. Impacts include meteorological, hydrological, agricultural and socio-economic factors. Also includes women's rights in land ownership. Climate change and human activity may also cause desertification.
