Solstice, the forest, and deer mother.

This is my collection of forest/nature-themed artwork on black, inspired by my desire to learn and write about Deer Mother and other Solstice stories and traditions. I can't wait to add more designs. Long before the myth of Santa's sleigh pulled by a herd of reindeer was Deer Mother. Taking flight from the darkest, longest night of the year, it was she who brought the life-giving light of the sun back to the land, in her horns.
