namesake magnolia

dix arts & crafts namesake is a cropped portion from my original artwork & self-portrait, “debutante”. in addition to my hand, cupping a magnolia blossom, my artwork features cotton, dogwood blossoms, & woodlands’ fabric from my garment. each of these items are significant from my personal history & as a southerner. as is everything i make, my graphite drawing is made with love.
