JWST James Webb Space Telescope Cosmic Cliffs

The next generation successor to the Hubble Space Telescope, NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, is on station and producing its first usable full color images of the cosmos. They are truly amazing. This image is the edge of a star-forming region NGC 3324 in the Carina Nebula 7, 600 light years from Earth. It has been named Cosmic Cliffs. In the coming years, JWST will produce incredible new images of planets, stars, nebulae, dust clouds, and galaxies to advance the science of astronomy.
