Impressionism & Post-Impressionism

Although Post-Impressionists seeked to break away and oppose some of the concepts proposed by the Impressionists they did share some characteristics; indeed as the name suggests the former category could be considered as the extension of the latter. Moreover Post-Impressionism didn't have precise aspects and some artists were experimental and overlapping into other styles.
