Chimera

Three animals argued in one body. The chimera breathed, lion chest, goat head, a serpent tail that moved on its own clock. Fire lived in more than one mouth. People who saw it did not sort the parts. They carried a chimera gift of that wrong fitting, beautiful and too much. It finds them again in chimera playing cards that will not lie flat, in a chimera notebook with three starts on one page, in a chimera postcard of the goat, the lion, and the tail. The dust settles. The body does not agree.
