A dramatic camellia bloom and bud captured with crisp structure and deep, saturated reds. The tight, controlled coloring gives the petals weight while keeping every edge readable. Painted by Toshio Yamada (1882–1941), a botanical artist celebrated for supporting Tomitaro Makino’s authoritative plant publications.
Note: Color correction processing was performed using public domain data from the Digital Collections of the National Diet Library.
