Countless hours went into the creation of the unique painting I used for this high quality reprint. ©Sandra Miller 2014 While vacationing au Japon, en Chine et au Vietnam I camfascinated with the modern block prints, batik, and papercuts we saw in the art galleries, as well as displayed on every day items such curtains and fabrics. The Stark Black Silhouettes juxtaposed against vibrant and rich colors, were like a beautiful dance to me. Je have been obsessed with this style of art ever since. I am in love with the medium of paper cutting because it gives me much freedom to create "on the fly" as well combining so many of my artistic skills I have learned over the years...I have found myself lured back into this "block" style once again. My handmade papers stored away for years from our travels have found new life !
