Bran Castle, located in Transylvania, Romania, is reputed to be one of the most haunted castles in the world, with ghost hunters from all over the world flocking to the Medieval stone fortification each year in the hope of witnessing the supernatural. However, the castle is more famous for another piece of folklore: it is rumored to have been the basis for Dracula's Castle, owing to its historic association with the brually violent monarch Vlad "the Impaler" Tepes.
